Stents/ 2nd opinion???

One year after I had three heart attacks and had a stent placed, I am getting frequent, transitory episodes of chest pain.(4/10) These are not accompanied by an increased or irregular pulse, or by pain or shortness of breath. When I told my cardiologist, he said, "Well, it's not your heart!" He reached this conclusion without a further cardiac work-up. Should I get a second opinon, or is chest pain common after stent placement?
