Even though a hysterectomy is the best thing for endo, it doesn't always help. Endo feeds on estrogen. When you get a hysterectomy you have to go on a estrogen patch. If you have any endo in you it will continue to grow and eventually cause you the same pain so a hysterectomy is always the best way to go. I am 24 and had endo for 10 years. I had 2 surgeries and went on lupron which made my body think it was in menopause state for 6 months. My problem is it is on the lining of my bladder so they really can't do anything about it. So for me a hysterectomy isn't the way to go. See where yours is before you get one. Just in case there might be a chance of kids in the future.
