I FOUND OUT THAT I HAVE GLUCOMA IN JUNE 2002 NO ONE IN MY FAMILY HAS THIS CONDITION SO HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE TO DEVELOPE THIS DEMON THAT STEALS YOUR EYESIGHT IN TIME? SO PLEASE TELL ME SO THAT I CAN PREPARE MYSELF FOR THE WORSE.

Hi...I have suffered glucoma in both my eyes for last about 12 years and pressure has been under control for last five or so years since I had operation done. My eye sight has stayed pretty ok since that time. I visited my doctor last week and he said something that startled me however. according to him even if the pressure stays under control, optic nerve may keep deteriorating. I don't know what percentage of people suffer deterioration but would like to hear from people in similar situations and experiences...
