I never thought of searching google under throat clicking but now that I'm here..
complaining about the sound it made led me to believe that I was able to stop it. but I'm not sure if you guys had the same deal as me. The sound of my uvula going upwards and downwards caused the sounds and it would happen and i felt as if i had no control over it..
i then realized the easiest way to stop it would be to keep me tongue pressed against my palate as often as i could so that there would be no sound..
everything went well but then i started suffering from some HARD headaches.. just imagine the feeling of a rock being grinded on both sides of your temples and you'll understand what i had to go through for a year..
the doctor said it was nothing.. a CAT scan showed nothing..and i didn't want to take any drugs..
I then realized just recently that my headaches were attributed to the lack of the clicking, to which the pulses in my head react with the most out of the various cures I could think of (prescription drugs, hypnosis).
Now I WISH that the clicks would come back to how they were: automatically.. heh, but now I have to deal with clicking my uvula to stop my headache manually..
the moral of this story is, watch what type of solutions you use to your problems.. although it's not too helpful that most doctors will tell you to "just ignore it"
