Armpit pain and soreness

I am concerned about pain that I am feeling in my left armpit. It has been bothering me for over 3 weeks. I am a 46 year old male. The pain is mostly noticed when I reach behind my lower back. It is a soreness feeling that is much increased if I reach behind my back and pull against my hip with my left hand. I can't feel any lumps or swelling in my armpit and its not sore to the touch. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
