My 6 year old has eternally been burdened with ear infections that she just last month had tubes put in again for the second time, yet currently has another ear infection. She is on a daily regimen of medications treating her asthma and chronic rhinitis, that up until about 3 months ago was due to allergies that recent tested proved to be negative. She isn't allergic to anything. My daughter takes more medication daily than most elderly do. She has ecome a "lab rat". After undergoing several normal lung x-rays and sinus cat scans, her Dr. did an upper GI which she tested positive for GERD. So of course this is now the cause of ALL her medical problems. A recent EGD showed a normal Esophagus. The GI said she does has an unexplainably "Angry" stomach, with no signs of an ulcer. They used a ph Probe that malfuntioned upon use giving her pH readins of 9.0 and up, which according to the GI there is no such things. I am at a loss as to what or who to believe any more. If anyone knows whether there really is a connection of all her symtoms please share you knowledge and enlighten me. I would greatly appreciate it.
