Has anyone ever heard of a polyp in the colon bursting, resulting in massive hemmorage in just a few minutes? My brother recently experienced such an incidnet. Paramedics had to restart his heart with electric shock. Over the next few days he received over 3 transfusions before the bleeding stopped. All test were negative, but a few small polyps were found and removed during a colonoscopy. He recovered and is working again. The doctor said they could find nothing wrong with him and suggest he must have had a large polyp that burst. It doesn't sound right to me.
