I too have asthma with pain in my ribs. The doctor told me that it is a normal thing and he prescribed me Vioxx. The pain would cause my chest to feel real heavy as if it would be difficult to breathe. When he prescribed me the Vioxx it really helped so maybe you could ask your doctor about that.
