Hi
I have severe asthma, but I am happy to say after a number of years I finally have it under control. However I have pain between my ribs on my right side. So much so that I sometimes sit in a position where I almost curve towards the side that is hurting to relieve the pain. If I use bandages around my ribs the discomfort is less. I also can't lie on my stomach too long as it feels as if the portion where my ribs meets become extremely painful. The one side of my ribs seem to be a bit higher than the other side's. Initially when I mentioned this to my doctor a couple of years ago he said that it is normal for people who have bad asthma to have some pain in their ribs because of the stress put on them. It's now been 2 years since I have had a serious attack and I still am on a lot of medication. The pain has persisted and I have been told just to use some pain medication to relieve the discomfort. Please could someone help me or give me some guidance? I am 26 years old.
