Just after easter this year I felt a sharp pain in my chest, just around the sternum. Ever since, I've had a gnawing sensation in that area, with occasional sharp stabs in my ribs on either side of my chest. Even though it seems to be VERY slowly receding, I don't know if it'll go away fully, and this is causing me a lot of mental stress. I am easily fatigued, I often have no appetite/feel nauseated, and I have had a couple panic attacks triggered by worrying about this chest pain. A lung Xray showed nothing, ekg showed nothing, gastroscopy showed nothing, liver sonogram showed nothing. I've been trying to find a chest pain specialist, but haven't had any luck. I also don't have any causes of stress in my life EXCEPT whatever is ailing me. I received a blow to my sternum during easter. So I am wondering if it could be possible that I bruised something and it's just taking a very long time to heal (and maybe self enhancing through the stress it is causing me), or if this is some kind of latent stress from old events. To make a long story short, does anyone have any ideas please?
