Hi Jason, I have had exactly what you described here for about 6 months. I went to a doctor back in february and was given something for post nasal drip. Of course it didn't help. (and this was an ENT doctor). Today, I saw another doctor and explained my symptoms again. She beleives that I have these symptoms,including the clicking sound every time I swallow, from Acid Reflux. She gave me Prevacid to take for at least 3 months to heal my throat. She believes that heartburn and reflux over time has caused some "erosion" in the throat,possibly my stomach too. Mind you, I rarely have symptoms of heartburn or acid reflux, but not everyone who has it, experiences the symptoms. Anyhow, if she is correct with the diagnosis, then I will be feeling better in a couple weeks hopefully. Don't feel bad, I got the feeling I wasn't believed either. It is an unusual symptom, or at least as far as we know. One more thing, I was given 2 xrays of throat today to see if there are any growths (sure hope not!), and Monday I will get a barium swallow to check for any other "stuff". Hope this helps you out.
