Pain in hip and knee joints after car accident

I was rear-ended in my car two years ago and now I have pain in my hip after sitting for a while and when I get up I have shooting pain up and down my leg. Then I put all my weight on my right leg to walk and my knee buckles from the pain in my left leg. The doctor said it was arthritis but I never had a problem before the car accident... I have stiffness in my neck also.
