I get this too. White discharge, mainly from the left eye (outside corner), but occasionally the right outside eye corner. My opthamologist said it is conjunctivitis. However, I don't agree since it has not gone away. I have had since Feb./Mar. 2004 and it seems to come and go. When it comes, it is almost a daily occurrence. Also, I have noticed that I have become more stiff in the neck and upper back area with a lot of popping and cracking as well as in wrists, elbows and shoulders. This started about 2 months after I noticed the white discharge from my eyes. They both seem to come and go at approximately the same times. Anybody with a clue or other suggestion I would really appreciate. I have gone for blood work and thankfully everything has come back o.k. (CBC count, RA, ANA, Sed Rate, C-reactive protein). Maybe I should see a Rheumatologist as it is starting to concern me and I am not getting what I feel is a good answer. In the last 20 years I had been to the doctors maybe 3 times. This last year, with blood work and all, probably 10 times. It is very frustrating. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
