Hi. I just noticed your question about the white discharge in eyes. I also have this. I am also 43, and have very dry eyes (and mouth) and this stuff drives me crazy. I have to clean them out every 1/2 hour or it builds up and looks gross, and also when it drys it turns into flakes that irritate my eyes a lot. I use allergy eyedrops (Patanol) and that seems to help a little. It seems to be a by-product of the dry eyes syndrome. Apparently you always get it in your eyes, but when your eyes are really dry all the time, it doesn't get washed out by tears, so it builds up. Could you let me know if you hear any more about this, and I will do same for you. Good luck.
