I'm 21 years old and for the past month or so I have been feeling slight discomfort on the left side of my chest, sometimes right under my left breast and sometimes above it towards my armpit. Also I have found if I get very worked up I feel a slight pain in my left arm as well, it's sort of sharp but only usually lasts for a few seconds, a minute at most. I believe I have been getting anxiety/panic attacks since the summertime when I first experienced a panic attack from smoking marijuana. I thought I was having a heart attack and going to die, ever since then I have been constantly worried that something is wrong with me and that I'm dying and such. Recently I went to the ER because I was feeling dizzy constantly and my vision was blurred and I was feeling naseous all the time and I had been feeling like that for about a week or two before I finally had a full blown panic attack about it and made my boyfriend take me to the ER. It turned out I had an inner ear infection plus a sinus infection. They put me on Antivert and I felt better for awhile but then it started up again so I went to my regular doctor and he put me on amoxicillan, antivert and zyrtec. Since then I do feel better from how I felt before so I do believe the inner ear infection is gone and such. I also did have an ECG done in the ER because I complained about chest pains. First I thought I had breast cancer and now that I've been researching things it more seems like I have really bad anxiety attacks. I have no history of heart problems or cancer in my immediate family. I just seem to overanalyze every ache and pain to the point where I make myself completley freak out about it. I have also gained some weight recently and my breasts grew causing me to have stretch marks around them and my hips, I also wonder if the pain I get in my breasts has something to do with gaining weight and the bras I was wearing for awhile were too small. I don't have health insurance and I already have an $800 ER bill to pay so I want to avoid any unecessary trips back to the doctor or hospital. I also have been very very stressed out lately, my grandmother just passed away and my job is extrememly stressful, so I was wondering if those factors could have something to do with my anxiety attacks also. And is it necessary to be put on medication for anxiety? Anyone who can help and answer any questions feel free to email me at [email protected]. thank you.
