My sister is pregnant with her first child, my first neice...so excited! But, about 3 weeks ago the doctors found the baby has a right sided aortic arch, and that there is a 1 in 10 chance of the baby having Degeorge syndrome. How badly is this syndrome for a child? In the case that it is just the right sided aortic arch, what are the most common symptoms? Also, is there a surgery that can be done to help this, and how old would the child have to be to get it if there is? Thank you so much for your time, and any helpful information i can find about my neice.
