I have the exact same pains (mostly left and center, but sometimes right) and have been diagnosed with MVP/MVR and Prinzmetals Angina (Heart spasms). I have been assure by my Cardiologist that MVP can cause the sharp pains. Prinzmetals (Variant Angina) feels more like someone squeezing your heart. I am on Cardiziem, a Calcium Channel Blocker and Isopropide - long lasting Nitroglycerin. I rarely have episodes unless I get stressed. Tonight I got the pain under my left breast that nearly took my breath away. It almost felt like it was in my lung and not cardiac related. I've been to tons of doctors and kind of glad to hear about the Mayo Clinic as that was my next step.
