Sounds like you have what i have, which is called costocondritis also known as tietze's syndrome. I have a pain on right side of chest which hurts from front to back and when you inhale your ribs hurt real bad and also hurts bad at night when you lay down and when you try to roll in bed from side to side. There is no cure for it, they say to take ibuprofin or aleve for the inflamation of cartialage between your ribs. It lasts anywhere from 1 hour to months.I have a reaccurence like 5 times in last 2 years.You can research it more on the net. Hope this helps you out
