Stabbing pains

The best way to describe my problem is I have what I would call it small stabbing pains to the right side of my back. The pain sometimes goes up to the right side of my neck to my ear. The only way to get rid of it is to lay on my stomach and stretch myself. I have been to my chiropractor who has re-aligned my back, but I am still having problems. If any one can help, please let me know.
