I didn't do a very good job explaining the beginning of her illness; she had a very sore throat that the clinic thought was either strep or tonsillitis, that's why the penicillin was prescribed. After two doses of penicillin, she ended up in the hospital as she was totally altered (hyperventilating & hallucenating, she has no memory of this period), Since that time she has been very ill. I've tried a chiropractor, in case ribs were out and causing pain, I tried a massage therapist, which just left her looking and feeling worse and I also tried a naturopath doctor, who believes that the penicillin was "the straw that broke the camels back" and finished off her immune system. She had antibiotics quite a few times when she was young for throat and ear infections. None of her viruses in the last 10 years have been accompanied by a fever, which he says is the bodie's normal way to fight viruses. He also thought her to be very anemic, which the conventional medical system didn't pick up on, but she is very pale and has dark blotches under her eyes. Her blood pressure is also pretty low 82/66, but again conventional medicine said it was in the "acceptable range for her age". We are following the naturopath's therapy to try and bring her own defences back into working order as he thinks the antibiotics have confused it so much that it just doesn't respond. She also has a cardiologist appointment in early December. She is having a lot of headaches, but she has learned to handle the chest pain and the shortness of breath and she also seems to be having some vision problems (she sees black dots/blobs sometimes), and she does something I call "checks out". When she gets the stabbing pain in her chest, she sometimes gets the strangest look on her face and her eyes become vacant, she will sometimes make weird faces with her mouth and then after a minute or so, she returns to normal. She has no memory of these incidents and often finds herself in a different position or place that she started (slides off chairs or was standing and finds herslef sitting on the floor). It's all very strange and disturbing.
