My 15 year old daughter has been having stabbing chest pain slightly to the left of centre just above her left breast. This leaves her wanting to inhale deeply which she cannot do, then results in shortness of breath. The rest of the time she describes the feeling in her chest as "brick-like". Her left arm and/or fingers has often gone numb or tingles. Other symptom's are headaches, tired, dizzy (she has passed out a couple of times), trouble sleeping and pain wakes her up at night. This all started almost 2 months ago and coincided with a prescription of Penicillin V Potassium which caused her to hyperventilate and hallucinate and ended in a trip to the hospital. When she came out of her altered state, she said she was fine except that her chest hurt. She has had multiple blood tests, ECG's, Echo cardiogram, chest x-ray and all have come up clean. Before this she was a relatively healthy girl, she is normally happy, well adjusted and likes school so I don't believe she is anxious or depressed. She has missed an incredible amount of school due to this and it is affecting her life. Anyone have any info?
