In March of this year I went to the ER with pain and fullness in my chest, they kept me overnight and ran an EKG, echo, and stress test. They told me I have an extremely mild case of Mitral Regurgitation and Gerd is causing my symptoms. Since that time I have been on medication for Gerd. I have the same symptoms everyday and sometimes I have pain in my left arm. My question is how long is the EKG, Echo and stress tests valid? Can heart conditions develop in 8 mths time and should I insist I get the tests again, Please help, I am 33 years old and the doctors act like I am crazy, although I did lose a brother when he ws 18 to Right Ventricular Cardiomyapothy. Any suggestions are extremely appreciated.
