I've been trying to get medical help/diagnosis since June 3 for extreme soreness on the bottom of my feet and joint pain in my hands. It started just with my left foot and now has "spread" to my left hand, right foot and right hand. The second and third toes seem to be seperating as well as a burning sensation on the bottom of my feet. A PA who "screened" me at the military medical facility had a RA test done. The numbers showed a "weak postive" but they put me on feldine anyway. The symptoms are worsening and the medication does not seem to be making any difference. The reason I'm wondering about a circulation problem is because the symptoms are extremely intense when I'm laying down or sitting. I wake up in pain several times a night and have to get up and walk around which in just a few minutes takes away the swollen, painful feeling. The past two or three weeks I become extremely winded with very little exersion and my heart seems to "gurgle" after say, climbing the stairs. I had a baby 18 mo. ago, am 43 but up untill about june, was running 2-3 miles four days a week and doing some light weights. It seemed I was not "getting back to normal" as quickly as after my other five children--even given the age factor. Now, I can't run even tho walking is more comfortable than sitting or sleeping. I'm basically exhausted and worried that the Dr's whom I've seen nearly every two weeks are dismissing my syptoms and not listening to me when I say it feels there is no circulation getting to my hands and feet when I'm not moving.THey just suggest soaking in hot water and trying differnt RA medicine. No pain medication I've taken even takes the edge off the pain at night which includes a shooting pain--like moving a sprained ankle only when I lay down. Is some type of heart evaluation a valid request? Any help or ideas where to go from here would be appreciated.
