I have had very similar issues. I haven't had any arythumia since being put on two pills, very small doses. I take 1/2 Toprol daily smallest dose I think 5mg. pill. Also, I take 1/2 Tambicor morning and night, again I think 5mg. I could find out for sure, but, to the point, I was only taking Toprol one pill daily and would get out of rythum from time to time while running. The doctor put me on a 24 hr. monitor and found the dosage was causing my heart to delay to long between beats, thus the 1/2 pill daily. He also found that the down stroke on my ekg was not appropriate. The 1/2 Tambicor twice daily did the trick. I run between 3 and 6 miles daily, workout till I am drained and have lost approx. 5lbs. of water, on treadmill, stairmaster, bicycle, etc. Absolutely no problems. I had a cathiter ablation as well which helped but didn't cure. I started having problems while running and riding my motocross motorcycle approx. 10 yrs. ago. Through constant visits to heart specialists annually I couldn't receive full relief until I started the above dosage of medicine which I have been taking for approx. 3 yrs. now. I currently am 60yrs. old, 6'2" and 200 lbs., oh and a male. Hope this helps. Let me know.
