I have that burning, usually in the left side of my chest, but sometimes in the right. It feels like hot liquid churning under the skin! It started 11 years ago when I was 38, and they did all the heart tests and gastro tests and found nothing. SO they said it was anxiety and put me on Prozac, then Klonopin. It makes me less nervous, now, and I have it less often, but these medicines did NOT make it go away. And I also have the shap pinching pain. In fact I am having it right now and I am at work! Right about the left nipple. It feels like someone is jabbing me with a sharp needle every 30 seconds or so! This has been driving me nuts for years, and the Drs. ll say its anxiety. They do the Cardiac tests every once in a while, and they are fine, but I still never know what to do when I have these pains. Ignore them? Go to the ER (I have done both, many times). I have heard that women do not get the same pressure , stc from a heart attack as men, and that many women get heart attacks caused, not by heart desease, but by spasms of the arteries in the heart. So that's what my fear is. DOes anyone know what could be causeing this and if its actually safe to ignore?
