You may have Panic Disorder. When your heart beats fast you may become extremely scared of dying. You might have thought that it has to do with a heartattack. Were you also diagnosed by your doctor with hyperventilation? If you were diagnosed with hyperventilation and/or anxiety disorder that means that you may have panic disorder. I am not a doctor but I know a friend who goes through what you are going through and he is always afraid of dying of a heart attack. He says it happens when he finishes eating most meals even if that meal is 1 slice of wheat bread with peanut butter. He says his heart beats exremely fast so he begins to become scared of dying right there on the spot so he then begins to breath heavily thus hyperventilating and by the time you know it he is a total mess. His doctor prescribed him Xanex or something of the sort. He also says that after burping he feels better.
