I'm 27 yrs old and I have Mitra-valve prolapse and I too have this problem. I've had my heart start racing in my sleep which woke me up! I too have been to the E.R. and they said it could be Agima. I'm on Toprol but it doesn't work at all times. I find laying flat on my back with my legs straight against a wall and taking deep breathes helps. It causes my heart to stop and then start beating normally, which is very scary. Try this and let me know how it works.
