Your post was a while ago, and I hope you've been had a medical examination by now. If not, you really must have one. If you were using your stethoscope properly, and I assume you were, although you don't describe any characteristics of your heart action other than the rhythm (like how fast was this rhythm or whether there were any varying or unusual sounds), you have an abnormal heart rhythm which needs investigation. Causes can be many and varied from the benign to the serious but you need a proper cardiac examination to find out what's causing these rhythms. A stethoscope can establish the presence of an abnormal rhythm but doesn't tell you where it's coming from, you need an EKG for that and maybe more detailed tests.
The pulse oximeter, incidentally, may give you a guide to heart rhythm and rate but may not pick up every beat.
Irregular rhythms can be associated with slow heart rates as well as fast ones, and while many people associate heart problems with tachycardia, this is not always the case.
Get checked out - it maybe, and probably is nothing serious - but you need to know.
