I have had those same symptoms and I did see the doctor and they did tests and it was not a heart attack. I know when I have acid reflux, a majority of the time I have these symptoms, then sometimes just the pain in the left chest. It was actually really bad today and the sharp shooting pains were periodically all day and progressed to get worse. Acid reflux or not I am going to get a second oppinion, possibly a third too. Health is not to be fooling around with so I suggest on getting another oppinion. BE sure all possible life threats are ruled out and that is with any pain.
