i have myself sufferered from left sided chest pain and arrhythmia and all other typical mitral valve prolapse syndrome for over a year.My docs have performed a coronary angio and electro physiological study on me and found nothing abnormal there.they negated any thing fatal and were also confused until one doc finally found a prolapse in my mitral valve in an echo x ray (of many conducted),which according to him was causing all the symptoms and was otherwise harmless in nature.there are many schools of thought and one such is of the opinion that mitral prolapse can actually cause chest pain and other typical cardiac symptoms and in 98% of the cases they are non progressive or benign in nature .but most of the doctors are not willing to accept this opinion though they themselves could not find any irregularity and as such some expresses doubt as to whether the patient is actually having such symptoms.to me, it is highly unlikely that you could have developed a coronary blockage from the perspective that you being a female and only 24 yrs of age .so other tests being conducted and other things being ruled out you could have developed an MVP (mitral valve prolapse )not always found in eco x rays even. MVP is often aggravated by indigestion/reflux or anxiety. SUDIPTO RAY.
