Your article was the perfect description of what i have been experiencing off and on for the past 4 or 5 years. I am a 24 year old female and I too have felt that sharp, shooting, almost paralyzing pain to the left of my breast. It makes it impossible to breath. I must take slow, shallow breaths for a couple of minutes and then the pain fades and goes away entirely. It's terrifying as I cannot function while it is happening. I just now experienced it again (one of the sharpest ones yet), but this time it was on the right side, to the right of my breast. I just came across this article and this website today, since I wanted to research it and see if I could find any helpful information. Has anyone found out what this could possibly be? If so, please e-mail me and let me know. I would greatly appreciate it ! Thanks.
