Michael Chan is head of Café de Coral in Hong Kong - reported in Forbes magazine
MSG ANTIDOTE Chan even offers a solution to a basic problem for many consumers of Chinese food: the unpleasant side effects of monosodium glutamate (MSG). Café de Coral doesn't add MSG directly to its food, but it's sometimes included in the sauces and in ingredients from outside vendors. Chan himself can't stomach the stuff: "It's like caffeine to me: I stay up all night." Chan's unusual remedy: "Drink a teaspoon of salt dissolved in some Coca-Cola. It works."
