I'm 19 and I have sharp, sometimes shooting chest pains too. It is in the same place everytime, just to the right of my sternum. I am fairly sure its cardic... Can't totally rule out anxiety as a cause, but most of them happen when I walk. Not run, just walk, for a sustained period. I play basketball everyday and feel fine. My father was born with a hole in his heart, so our health backgrounds are similar. If you (or anyone else reading) could give me information you've gotten on our seemingly identical chest pains, maybe you could write back.
