recurring chest pain

I'm a 24 year old female, and for the past year I have been having chest pain. Its mainly on the left side, but does happen on the right side sometimes. It doesnt seem to be related to exercise and things like that. I wake up most mornings with it hurting. I went to the E.R. a few weeks ago and they did some tests and erays and then said that they didnt know what was causeing it. Then said that it was all in my head. I dont know what else to do. It still hurts daily. What else could be causeing this ???
