For several years now I have been experiencing discomfort in the left side of my chest around the nipple area. It sometimes feels tight, scratchy, and heavy at times. I find myself breathing normal and every so often having to take in a deep breath just to get enough air. There is sometime indegestion with this. I have had numerous EKGs done, tread mil tests done, and chest xrays done, all producing normal results. My blood pressure is normal, cholesteral normal, but my family has a history of heart problems. My dad had his first heart attack at the age of 42 and died at 57. His brother has had multiple bypass operations. Doctors tell me my heart and arteries are fine. When I exercise, I may experience some slight discomfort in the chest, but usually exercise does not bring it on. I sleep fine at night, with no problems doing that. It seems to come and go as the day progresses. I also had an EGD done and that was normal also. I am 47 years old, weigh 165, never smoked, and am in pretty good health. My concern is that all these test show nothing, yet is there a chance I could have a mild blockage that is going undetected? Or is this just stress related? Sometimes I think the doctors think it is all in my head, yet I know my body better than anyone. Tks for your time and allowing me to [email protected]
