What the doctor is saying could mean several different things...maybe you do have some sort of physical damage to your heart after the accident.

More likely the doctor is referring to depressions in the waveforms of the tracing of your heart's electrical activity (EKG) which can indicate a whole load of things...some of no significance, some of very great significance.

The thallium stress test will give a better idea of how well your heart is functioning, and the echo will let the doctor see the shape and size of your heart as well as its movements.
