I think it depends on what he is looking for. Say for cardiac murmur n stuff..he might want a peron to get some physical excercise before listening to heart again..Listening is not a conclusive checkup.It is a preliminary check which can last a few minuts....Family history symptoms, physical health of a person etc. might determine how long the doctor wants to listen and what other tests he wants done to confirm ..
