I was online researching this too. Mine always starts as dry skin, then turns to red bumps (maybe blisters) that get a little sore. I also get them slightly on my palms. I get this a few times a year, and always thought it must be related to allergies.

I had a doctor suggest using an anti-fungal cream, but that didn't seem to help. And moisturizer doesn't help either.

Eventually, in my case, it just becomes dry, cracked skin, then goes away.
