Dermoid Cyst

I was just diagnosed with having a dermoid cyst in my right ovary and will be having surgery in the next three weeks. I am worried about the surgery but I am more interested in what caused this and preventing it from happenig again. I have been taking Ipral for the past 11 months due to a recurring urinary tract infection and i also suffer with IbS and I receive the Depo-Provera injection every 12 weeks. Would these problems with my kidneys and bowels or the medication I am taking cause this cyst to grow. Any advice will be appreciated.
