Genital warts or venereal warts (Condylomata accuminata) occur as a result of viral infection and area very common sexually transmitted viral dz. It is a human papillomavirus. Treatment of genital warts is unsatisfactory and depends on the location. Local applications of imiquimod5% and podofilox 0.5% are helpful. Other local medications include trichloracetic acid, 5-FU . Interferon-alfa locally or intramuscularly has been used. Cryotherapy, electrocautery and lasers have been used. Biopsy should be done if persists, to exclude cancer. Recurrence is common.
